California Lemon Law is one of the largest and most comprehensive
consumer protection devices in the United States. While the lemon
laws in other states might be a modest one page afterthought, the
California Lemon Law consists of many pages in many different places,
so the focus of this website is to bring all of the documentation
under one roof, so to speak.
The main sections of the California Lemon Law that one needs to
be concerned with are:
1. California Automotive Consumer Notification Act
2. California Car Buyer's Bill of Rights
3. California Consumer Warranty Protection
4. California Lemon Law Buy Back
5. California Motor Vehicle Codes 1795.90 and 1796
6. California Odometer Disclosure
7. California Tanner Consumer Protection Act
8. California Used Car with No Manufacturer Warranty
9. California Vehicle Complaint Form
10. California Warranty Buy Back Notice
These are the top 10 sections of the California Lemon Law that
one needs to be concerned with in order to exercise one's full legal
rights. The California Lemon Law protects both new and used vehicles.

One part of the California Lemon Law that is different than
most states is that if in California a car is returned to
the dealership and declared a lemon, then this must show up
on the vehicle's title. In addition, there are laws in place
to protect consumers in other states as well.
For instance under California Lemon Law, if a lemon car is
shipped out of state, then this must be disclosed to buyers
in other states. This prevents the car dealers from shipping
lemon cars to unsuspecting consumers in other states who will
most likely inherit the same problems.
